Wanda Keeler Bio:  
Wanda’s earlier bodybuilding career was short lived, only 3 contest in the early 1990’s. She had won the first 2 in Memphis, TN the lightweight and overall then went on to place 2nd at the Southern Classic in Jackson, MS, it was the first time she had lost. While training for that show the next year, Wanda hurt her shoulder sideling her bodybuilding for over ten years. During that time she worked as a personal trainer and competed in different sports such as triathlons and marathons to stay in shape. All that time the Southern Classic haunted her until in 2006 when she stepped back on stage and won the lightweight and overall there, qualifying her for national level competition. Wanda will tell you that day was her best. In June 2007 she was lucky enough to step on stage with the best competitors she had ever seen, and won the Middleweight Class at the NPC Jr. Nationals in Chicago, WHAT A GREAT MOMENT!!!! In 2009 she injured her knee and was unable to train legs effectively, so that year she had surgery to repair it and now she is already back squatting heavy again. Today Wanda doesn’t train as heavy as in the past, “I like to think I train smarter and try to bring up any weak points”. Wanda trains 6 days a week with 1 main body part per day. She does abs and calves 3 times per week and cardio 3-6 times per week depending on contest time. All that the heavy lifting in the past built the foundation that she has today. Some of her best lifts are : SQUATS : 315# X 6 BENCH : 275# X 5 BENIND NECK PRESS 150# X 5 BARBELL ROWS 225# X 5 Wanda’s measurements change with her weight, which is about 158lbs + in the off season and competing at 125lbs for the Jr. nationals. Doubtful she will be able to make that weight ever again, it almost killed Wanda getting there!!!
